JAN and the BACN conference on the 14th and 15th of September

Volume 12 · Issue 7

The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) is returning to Birmingham for its annual conference following highly positive feedback from delegates, speakers, and exhibitors in 2022. The event will be held at the Eastside Rooms, with a packed agenda and all exhibitor space sold out well in advance. There is an exciting programme for the 300 plus delegates who will attend over the two-day period.

Over the last year, the BACN has grown rapidly, and its membership has now reached nearly 1200 nurses. The BACN membership ranges from nurses just starting out in aesthetics to founder members who are some of the world's leading experts and trainers. The programme has been designed to cater to all levels of competence and experience, also allowing enough time for networking and meeting exhibitors and sponsors.

The programme has been designed to reflect the vast changes that are taking place in aesthetics in terms of regulations as well as the emergence of new techniques and treatments every day.

There will be five live demonstrations, supplemented by presentations on the latest developments in regulations, perimenopausal treatments, best business practice, genetics, hair rejuvenation and the use of ultrasound. Aesthetic nurses will be able to register CPD points for virtually every session and participants will be able to get together at the ‘Evening Drinks Reception’ on Thursday evening.

BACN Chair Sharon Bennett expressed, ‘I am incredibly grateful for the support the BACN Annual Conference each year receives from our members, sponsors, speakers, and exhibitors. It is our job to make sure that each year it is relevant, thought-provoking and can showcase what is best about the aesthetic nursing speciality. We are all facing uncertain times with regulation emerging, but the BACN will always stand up for what is best in terms of patient safety and our medical approach to treatments’.

As part of the BACN's continued collaboration with the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing, we warmly welcome all practitioner readers to participate in this professional event. For any queries, please do not hesitate to keep in touch with either JAN or the BACN.
